For 5 years Robert has been collecting images of temples around the world in a unique fine art style. A professional photographer for nearly 15 years, Robert traveled the world photographing for clients which gave him access to many temples. His studio, Bob Boyd Photography, has won numerous photography awards, including 10 Album of the Year awards, 2 Loan Collection albums and Best of State in 2005. He has served as President of the Intermountain Professional Photographers Association, and currently also instructs Photoshop and photography courses a couple of times a year. Robert now focuses entirely on fine art printing and temple art, and has over 200 pieces available, with a book and DVD coming soon. He lives in Orem with his wife Eleah and their 5 children. His other portrait work can be seen at www.bobboydphotography.com or www.boydphotographers.com We have been putting together a large collection of beautiful temple prints, some being enhanced with color schemes to complement many of the colors currently found in homes. The current collection contains temple masterpieces taken over a four year span.
President Spencer W. Kimball - May 1977 : Having in mind the importance of temple work, wouldn’t it be wonderful if every Latter-day Saint home had in the bedroom of each boy and each girl, or on the mantle of the living room, a fairly good-sized picture of a temple which would help them recall, frequently, the purpose of these beautiful edifices. I believe there would be far more marriages in the temple than there are today, because the children would have as a part of their growing experience the picture of one of our temples constantly before them as a reminder and a goal. I recommend that to the Saints. It is almost costless and certainly would help develop the thinking processes of little minds that are growing, as the temple and its meaning is contemplated and is discussed in the Family Home Evening. It's true the giclee canvas prints are by no means inexpensive. We are, however, also offering true photographic prints that surpass the longevity and quality of the 4 color press pictures available now for an amazing price that can make it affordable for anyone to purchase quality prints of their favorite temples. Coming Soon - 2009 Temple Calendar "In Holy Places" published by Covenant. Also, a book and DVD are on the way - details to come. |
